Mid-Century Modern
This Carmel residence, originally constructed in 1969 and designed by Burde, Shaw and Associates, underwent a complete remodel in 2019.
New custom windows and glass curtain walls were installed around the exterior of the home and all of the interior finishes were upgraded inside. At the center of the home, a new wood and glass staircase was built to connect the two levels of the home.
In order to enhance the indoor-outdoor connection, large porcelain tiles were installed throughout the main level of the house and the adjacent exterior patios to create one continuous floor. A custom built fireplace and outdoor seating further enhanced these exterior spaces.
